Functional and cute

"Though listed for 1st and 2nd grade the backpack is perfect for preschool and kindergarten aged children. If your 1st/2nd grader does not use binders or a laptop then the bag would also be great for them. The backpack is ergonomically built and has safety features not found in most kids backpacks. There are reflective fabrics on several places on the bag, as well as a hidden built in rain cover! My 1st grader loved the colorful, fun design of the bag, the removable patches, and all of the compartments for storage. The water bottle storage on both sides of the bag features a unique zipper pocket, so no lost water bottles. As a parent I also really loved the separate, water resistant lunch box pocket inside the bag to avoid leaks onto other items. This bag was very well made and perfect for school for younger kids. Highly recommend it if you want a fun, quality bag that will last for several years. I received this bag for review from the Stellar Product Testing panel."

Fantastic Backpack

"This backpack is really cool and our daughter loves it! The backpack seems really well made and seems like it is going to last a long time. It's a great size for elementary age kids but it still holds a lot. She loved the design and the ability to switch out the patches and I loved that I could adjust it so that it really fit her well. Our daughter used the backpack for school and could easily fit her binder, water bottle, lunch and sweater. She doesn't carry a lot of books, but could have easily fit a book or two or another binder in the bag. She has also used it for a week of summer camp and could fit her lunch, swimsuit and towel, snack and water bottle. Both options worked great and I could see us also using it for overnight sleepovers and for plane rides and travel. I don't really have any major cons. The bag is a little stuff, but I think it will loosen up as we use it. The top flap uses the side-squeeze buckles which can sometimes be hard for little hands. If your kiddo hasn't used those types of clips before is may take them a second to get the hang of it, but our 6 year old was fine and our 4 year old tested it out and got it pretty quick! All in all, this is a fantastic bag and I think we will get one for our 4 year old who is starting kinder next year. Function meets Style

"First I want to thank the stellar product testing panel for sending my daughter the Beckmann Classic Backpack. My daughter is 6 years old and is just finishing up first grade. This backpack is the perfect size for her. It is not too big but yet holds so much and is so breathable. She would often complain about being hot in other backpacks as well as it sliding off of her because her old backpack did not have the snap to secure the straps. She does not have either of these issues with Beckmann! It was an adjustment for my daughter to remember that there were compartments on the side, and that is where we packed most of her smaller items, as the front pocket is rather shallow. She used this backpack for both school and dance so far. She loves that she can change out the Velcro patches and the front pocket to make it fit what style she is feeling for each use. She stats that it is very comfortable and it does not feel heavy when it is full like her old backpack did. My daughter also used this backpack to carry things around the house when she was playing games such as school or vacation, this shows how comfortable this backpack is that even after having it at school all day she still wants to use it! I love the quality and expect that it will lasts for years to come. I am very glad that it has a laptop sleeve in the back as I love having that sleeve to keep my child's daily take home folder secured, and when we go on trips I use that for her tablet sleeve. Overall we love this backpack and will be a return customer when this one wears out or for future kids."
