Love this backpack

"Disclosure: I received this backpack as a gift from Beckmann in exchange for my honest, unbiased review. All opinions expressed are my own. We were recently gifted the Beckmann Classic Backpack, and after using it for a few weeks, I can confidently say it’s absolutely one of the best children’s backpacks we’ve ever come across. Right out of the bag, the comfort level was noticeable. The padded shoulder straps, chest strap, backside and hip belt are designed to take the strain off the child’s back. Our 6 year old found it easy to wear, even while packed. You can tell this backpack was built with kids’ health in mind Some of the features we love are the rain cover built into the top flap which is super practical for wet days and easy for my child to put on. The reflective tabs all around are excellent for walking in those darker mornings and evenings. The waterproof compartment is ideal for lunches or anything that might leak. And my child especially loves the included patches that she can change around to her liking. This backpack holds quite a bit of books, a lunch box, water bottle an electronic device and still feels balanced. The EcoFriendly touch was a huge bonus I love the fact that the backpack is made from recycled plastic bottles. It’s rare to find a kids’ product that combines functionality with sustainability so well. We received the cherry version the colors and artwork are beautiful! bold but not overwhelming. Our daughter instantly loved it. Even though this backpack was gifted, I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase another one from Beckmann in the future. It’s well-made, thoughtfully designed, and built to last. If you’re looking for a backpack that supports your child physically, keeps them safe, and makes them excited to wear it, this one ticks all the boxes."

Awesome backpack

"This backpack is adorable! I loved the cherry on the outside of the pack but my daughter didn't and she was able to personalize this backpack to her own taste and not have the cherry image show. This backpack is extremely well-made and uses recycled, plastic bottles which is neat. The quality of the pack feels thick and rugged so while my daughter is currently using this pack for school- I do plan on using it for hiking this summer! The rain cover is a nice perk and we will use it over the summer, my daughter hasn't yet bothered with it on rainy days when she is just outside for the bus. It is also great that it has an enclosed water pocket on the side. With my daughter always running around- her water bottle has fallen out of other backpacks but with this one- it is zipped in and safe. Oh and one more bonus is the waist and chest strap. My daughter is 5yrs and able to unbuckle/buckle herself in and out of this backpack easily. Lastly, the side picture of the backpack appears small but it is really quite spacious- my daughter is in kindergarten and does not have a lot of things to bring back and forth to school yet. I highly recommend this backpack and have found my new favorite brand! I was given this backpack to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel."

The Perfect Backpack

"Let me start off by saying I was BLOWN away at the quality and craftsmanship of this backpack! So much thought went into the ergonomic design, which really surprised and impressed me. It looks modern and playful without being too flashy, which is perfect for my 6 year old daughter, who is starting to form her own sense of style. My daughter immediately noticed the buttons had Velcro backing and that made it special to her because she can “customize” it to her liking--it comes with additional buttons so the kiddos can customize how they want. One of the biggest highlights is the ergonomic design--padded shoulder straps, adjustable chest strap and supportive back panel. When my daughter tried on her backpack, I started to adjust it--making sure the bottom of the backpack was right above her butt, tightened the hip belt until it was snug (transfer weight to the hips to relieve the shoulders), adjusted the chest straps in line with her armpits and tightened top straps to pull the backpack closer to shoulders so that it distributes the weight evenly. Then, I filled it up with her folder, lunch box, water bottle and light jacket. She said the backpack was comfortable and asked if I forgot to put everything in because she thought it was too light when in fact, I just adjusted her backpack to fit per the instructions. My daughter uses this backpack daily for school and we will use it for short day trips. It has held up really well so far. Not only is it durable and water-resistant, but it’s great knowing the bag is made with sustainability in mind--something that matters to us as a family. When it comes to organization, the multiple compartments and pockets are a game changer! There are 2 zipper side pockets for water bottles, a waterproof pouch for a lunch box and a smaller pocket for trinkets with a (detachable) key ring holder that is easy enough for a 6 year old to detach and re-attach. Another thoughtful feature is the rain cover hidden in the top “lid” of the backpack. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend the Beckmann Classic Backpack. It is stylish, comfortable, durable and well made. Beckmann designed this backpack with children’s needs in mind and it shows. I received this products as a part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. My review is honest and unbiased."

Fantastic backpack for elementary students

"When my 2nd grade daughter opened up the box for this backpack, she squealed with delight. It is SO cute, and it's "good unique, not embarrassing unique" which, according to my girl is a very good thing. Nobody else at school has one like it, but all of her friends think it's awesome. My daughter has some sensory sensitivities, and she finds this backpack so comfortable that she sometimes forgets she's wearing it. I don't have to carry her backpack to and from school anymore! We live in a super hot, super humid climate, and she doesn't get overheated on the walk to and from school like she did with her old backpack. She's using the backpack primarily for school, but has also taken it on a hike with her Girl Scouts troop, and a weekend trip. She says it's comfortable to carry even when it's packed pretty full, or with heavier than usual items. The quality of material seems wonderful, and I believe it will be very durable. I'm blown away by the 4 year warranty—absolutely love a company that stands behind a product they're confident in!! She's only had it a few weeks so far, but it still looks brand new with no signs of picking up dust and dirt from being unceremoniously tossed on the playground after school. I love the waterproof, zippered water bottle pocket. Prior to this backpack, we had so many mishaps where her water bottle has fallen out of an open water bottle pocket, and nobody noticed until she was without a drink or had lost her bottle who-knows-where, or had a leak that completely soaked her books and papers. Organization isn't her super power currently, but this backpack is spacious enough, and has nice dividers that have prevented some of the dreaded paper destruction via shoving everything into the single available pocket. She loves that there are a few places to stash special items to keep them from getting lost in the big pockets. The rain cover has come in clutch a few times, keeping her items bone-dry, and it's quick and easy to both put on and pack away. I've already got an order placed to replace my other elementary school aged kiddo's backpack, because it is so great!"
